Fabian Delph Shuns Spurs and Liverpool Interest to Sign New 4-and-a-Half-Year Deal With Aston Villa
Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph has ended speculation over his future by signing a new four-and-a-half-year deal at the Premier League club.
Villa announced the news on the big screen prior to their home game against Bournemouth in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday.
Delph, who arrived in at Villa Park from Leeds United in 2009, had been linked with a move to either Liverpool or Tottenham in recent weeks.
In a message to the club’s fans, the England midfielder, who is not part of the Villa’s matchday squad due to injury, thanked them for their support and revealed he has “loved every minute” of his time there so far.
