Brendan Rodgers Says Daniel Sturridge Will Be Fit to Face West Ham

Speaking to the press after his side’s 0-0 draw with Bolton in the FA Cup, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers said that Daniel Sturridge will be fit to face West Ham next week.

England international Sturridge hasn’t played for the Reds since August 31st and Liverpool have suffered greatly in front of goal in his absence.
“Daniel trains with the team on Sunday – he’s at a real good level in terms of his fitness at the moment, Rodgers told BT Sports after the draw with Bolton.
“He completed his final rehabilitation with the medical and sports science guys today, so he’ll be ready for the West Ham game – whether he starts or not will depend closer to the time.
“We’ll see if we can get him back for the Chelsea game in midweek too.”
Sturridge confirmed via Twitter on Sunday afternoon that he has returned to training and expressed his delight at doing so.
