Ricky Rubio shut down for rest of season
After suffering an ankle injury last month, Ricky Rubio was officially sidelined by the Timberwolves for the rest of the season.
Ricky Rubio cannot catch a break.
The Minnesota Timberwolves point guard was officially ruled out for the rest of the season on Saturday by coach Flip Saunders as a result of the ankle injury Rubio suffered on March 15.
Rubio played in the Wolves’ March 18 game against the Toronto Raptors, but has been inactive since.
Rubio already missed a large chunk of the NBA 2014-15 season from a badly sprained left ankle in November.
The injury occurred 10 days after he signed a four-year, $55million contract with the Timberwolves.
