Manchester United Ready to Sell Robin van Persie as Edinson Cavani Tops Wishlist
Manchester United are ready to sell Dutch striker Robin van Persie this summer after manager Louis van Gaal deemed the player surplus to requirements, reported the Telegraph.
United are set for another summer of upheaval amongst the playing staff as van Gaal looks to create a team capable of winning the Premier League title and competing in Europe.
The report claims they are set to launch a sensational bid for unhappy Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani.
Van Persie was the last major signing of Sir Alex Ferguson's reign as manager as he joined for £24m from Arsenal in 2012, scoring 30 goals in all competitions to help United win the Premier League title back from neighbours Manchester City.
