Steven Gerrard Plans New Luxury £3m Home Ready for Return to Merseyside.
Departing Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard isn't waving goodbye to England forever when he ups sticks and moves to California this summer, with plans for a brand new £3m Merseyside mansion currently under consideration by the local council.
The Daily Star discovered the plans for the five bedroom house, which are expected to be given permission in accordance with an agreement when Gerrard initially purchased the two acre plot of land.
The luxury house for the former England captain, his wife and three daughters will feature an indoor swimming pool, home gym, spa and sauna. There will also be a cinema and even a 'security' room is included in the design.
It remains unknown what Gerrard plans to do with his current home when he leaves for a new challenge in the MLS with Los Angeles Galaxy, with the whole family set to move stateside, just as the Beckhams did in 2007.
The 34-year-old signed an 18 month contract when he decided to finish his playing career abroad and his new house is expected to be completed by the time he is ready to return to familiar shores.
