Though Chelsea and Manchester City spent big on Juan Cuadrado and Wilfried Bony respectively, there wasn’t much to shout about throughout the course of January and the first couple of days of month two. Transfer deadline day got off to a slow start but delivered a few late deals, but overall you can’t help but feel a little empty.
