Alan Pardew Tips Wilfried Zaha to Force His Way Back Into England Squad
Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew believes on-loan winger Wilfried Zaha can use the London club as a platform to get back to his best, and possibly even back into the England squad.
According to Sky Sports, the former Newcastle manager sees huge potential in the Manchester United loanee and should use his time at Selhurst Park to get his career back on track.
United signed Zaha from Palace in 2013, but he failed to make the impression he wanted on the Old Trafford club, instead returning to his former stomping ground on loan at the start of this season.
When asked if he could make Zaha’s move permanent this month, Pardew said: ”I’m not sure about that option.
“What I do know is that he’s a player that needs to get his career on the move again. He’s had a decent couple of games, made an impact and he needs to build on that. I think that is where he’s at.”He’s a talent that needs to nail down a permanent position here, whether he’s on loan or permanent but I’ve been very pleased with what I have seen.”Pardew even talked up the player’s chances of earning a recall to Roy Hodgson’s England squad. Zaha has two senior caps for the Three Lions so far and while Pardew maintains he has the ability to play for his country, he needs the opportunity to prove himself regularly in the Premier League.
