England Set to Rest 4 Key Liverpool Players for Italy Friendly – Angering Premier League Rivals
England manager Roy Hodgson risks angering Liverpool's Premier League rivals if he goes ahead with reported plans to give four key Anfield players an early release from international duty ahead of the Three Lions' friendly with Italy at the end of the month.
According to various sources, after taking on Lithuania in a Euro 2016 qualifier Hodgson is expected to send Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge, Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana home, with the rest of the squad travelling to Turin for a second game.
