Ener Kanter didn’t like Utah Jazz

Enes Kanter said he did not enjoy playing basketball with the Utah Jazz before joining the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Oklahoma City Thunder centre Enes Kanter has been a revelation since arriving last month and he voiced his pleasure with former team the Utah Jazz on Saturday.
Kanter was part of a three-team trade on the NBA trade deadline on February 19, sent to the Thunder alongside Steve Novak, while Kendrick Perkins and Reggie Jackson moved to the Jazz and Detroit Pistons respectively.
The 22-year-old Turk is averaging 17.6 points and 10.8 rebounds in 16 appearances since being traded by the Jazz, where he became frustrated after four years.
“I think the difference is, I like playing basketball here,” Kanter said. “I think that’s the most important thing.
“I never liked playing basketball before in my NBA career and this is the first time I felt like playing basketball there, for my team, for the fans, for my team-mates for my coaches, for everybody. So, that’s the first time.
“It wasn’t just a one-game or two-game frustration. It was a three-and-a-half-year frustration.
“I’m happy for both sides. I think it worked out well for both sides. I’m definitely happy that I’m part of the Oklahoma City team, a winner team, so I think it’s going to go really well in the future.”
Kanter – the former third overall pick – added: “I love it [being in Oklahoma City]. It’s a team I’ve never experienced before and I actually like playing basketball there. I’m just so comfortable and everything is in the right place. I’m just really happy to be here.
“It’s everything. The fans, the coaches, the team, the atmosphere is amazing. Everything is falling into place and I’ve never felt anything like that before. It’s so different.”
