Barcelona legend Xavi agrees 3 year deal with Qatari club Al Sadd

Now aged 35, Xavi recently celebrated his 750th game for Barcelona having initially joined the club in 1991 as an 11 year old.

Xavi is viewed as being the embodiment of the tiki-taka passing style of play and is considered to be one of the greatest central midfielders of all time.
Spanish newspaper AS today reported that Xavi had agreed a 3 year deal, worth a whopping €10m a season, with Al Sadd.
The Qatari club have given Xavi the option of a fourth year at the club too, which would see him past his 39th birthday.
Hopeful of becoming a coach in the future, Xavi will also reportedly spend time getting his coaching badges at Qatar’s Aspire Sports Academy.
Legendary Real Madrid striker Raul spent two years at Al Sadd between 2012 and 2014 before retiring and returning from retirement to play for the New York Cosmos.
Xavi’s incredible career at Barcelona looks set to come to an end in the coming months. Can he sign off with a treble?
